A successful artist sent his son off to war, only to lose him shortly thereafter. Nearly a year later after suffering the incredible loss, a knock came to the door. It was a soldier who had served in the same platoon as the artist’s son. The soldier began to tell of the cold frightening nights he had spent in foxholes with the son. Before the soldier left, he gave a sketch of the son, which he had drawn himself. This became the father’s most valuable piece in his collection. A year later, he died and the estate was auctioned off with collectors from around the world. When the sketch of the artist’s son was displayed, spectators demanded to remove the amateur drawing, yet the auctioneer insisted, “Who’ll give me $1,000 . . . $500?” In the back of the room one of the townspeople said, “I’d like to have that picture, but can only offer $50.” “Fifty dollars, going once, twice; sold to the man in the back,” said the auctioneer. “The sale is now over. As I told you, the man’s will established strict guidelines for this sale. He instructed that WHOEVER GETS THE SON, GETS IT ALL!”

When you believe in the Son of God, you receive it all, all of the blessings of God including eternal life. But, it costs you nothing and Him everything!
