For the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth. Ephesians 5:9
Some veterans bear visible signs of their service: a missing limb, a jagged scar, a certain look in the eye. Others may carry the evidence inside them: a pin holding a bone together, a piece of shrapnel in the leg – or maybe another sort of inner steel: the soul’s ally forged in the refinery of adversity. Except in parades, however, the men and women who have kept America safe wear no badge or emblem. You can’t tell a vet just by looking.
As a warrior for Christ you too may not wear a badge or emblem, yet unlike a veteran, one should be able to tell a Christian by just looking. As a believer you possess godly attitudes that typify the lives of only those who belong to God by faith in Christ and posses the Spirit of God. The Spirit produces fruit, which consists of 9 attitudes that are expected of believers: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Let these fruits shine so there is no doubt that you are a Christian.
