Father, You said that in the last days there would be wars and rumors of wars as nations rise against nations and kingdoms against kingdoms (Matthew 24:6-7). I pray a hedge of protection today for all of the men and women who have been sent to war areas to make the world a better place. Let each of them take the time to consider their eternal destiny and find peace in personal relationship with You. I also pray for the peace, provision, and protection of their families. Comfort and encourage the troops in their hours of loneliness as only You can do because You are the God of all comfort (2 Corinthians 1:3).

Let the Christian soldiers be quick to share their faith with those who have not accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior. I pray that the spiritual commitment of those who receive Christ during this crisis will be genuine and last throughout their lives.

Show Yourself strong on their behalf each day (2 Chronicles 16:9). Give Your angels charge of each military unit and keep the troops in all their ways (Psalm 91:11). Bring the war to a close, Father, and return the troops home.

I pray that You will extend Your mercy and peace to the citizens who reside in the war torn areas. Be with them and let them find refuge in You. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
