Father, we lean on our own knowledge and understanding far too much and frequently, instead of revealing truth to us, it enslaves us and blinds us! Help us to have faith like a child, God. Stupify and confound us. Overwhelm our hearts.

Some of us may be opening our hearts to you for the first time. As we open the door ever-so-slightly, I ask that you come flooding in. Release us from the bonds of legalism and intellectualism and help us to see clearly for the first time in our lives. Thank you for that moment when your truth just clicks in our hearts and we just “get it.” Thank you for that moment when we realize that, “Wow. You really love me just as I am!? You forgive me for all those terrible things I’ve done and I don’t have to do anything in return??” God, that’s when so many minds say, “Does Not Compute!” I pray for the release of those minds right now. Replace the ingrained fear and shame with your loving grace and compassion. You are so good, God. Thank you. We love you. I ask this in Jesus’ name, Amen.
