Dear Lord, I plead with you to let no one deceive me with empty words, for because of these things Your wrath comes upon the sons of disobedience (Eph 5:6). I know deep down in my heart that if I do not listen to the commandments that You oh God gave me, but turn aside from the way which You are commanding me, I will lose out on Your blessing (Deut 11:28). I am as Titus says, “foolish, disobedient, deceived, enslaved to various lusts and pleasures, spending [my] life in malice and envy, hateful, hating one another” (Titus 3:3). But that is not what I really want for my life. Give me the strength to overcome my rebellion and disobedience for I know that it honors You. I ask this in Jesus’ name, Amen.
