Lord, I know that you have created mankind to not be alone. This is why you brought Eve into this world for Adam. We were designed to be fruitful and multiply, which helps to bring family and community together. However, there were times in Scripture where there was separation. When David ran from King Saul he was on the run for years, separated from his friends and family. When God instructed Elijah to the brook Kerith, he was separated from his people, yet we know that you had a divine purpose for that…to keep him alive from the years of drought. There seems to be a drought in my life right now. I feel isolated from the world, I hear little from You! Please Lord, speak to me, bring comfort to me in this time of separation. I need to feel Your presence and comfort today. I ask this in Jesus’ name, Amen.
